When Val was diagnosed with her recurrent cancer last September 6th (2010) I thought, "who cares?" So I quit my effort to take better care of myself; lose weight, eat right, walk, and CHANGE!
Well, I am not weighing the most I have ever weighed (lbs. of record to follow) and so, I have announced to my family that I am (a) BACK! (b) going to prep for another 5k walk/run -and- (c) end this madness of self destruction.
I love life, and though I am so very sad to see Val slipping away from me (she is on hospice now, no more treatments, she is terminal and probably has only 3-4 months to live) I come from a line of LONG LIFE LIVERS, so I need to tune up, and get it together. For me and for my family.
Here we go again.... "I'm Back............."
